    You don’t need the drivers to boot the mncaihe properly. The OS will default to standard VGA at 640 X480. So it sounds like a matter of disabling the old onboard video card and enabling the PCI slot. You want to set the order to read the PCI slot first even if it reads both cards. You do this in the bios setup, and you’ll need to plug the monitor back into the old card to do this and then shut off the mncaihe, then restart with the monitor plugged into the new card.Some motherboards can’t disable the onboard video, and some boards won’t support certain video cards especially if it’s using an adapter like yours. However, the 9600 is a mid range card and you should be able to get it to work. My son bought an NVidia 8800 and his motherboard didn’t support it period. He had to buy a new motherboard even though the motherboard had a PCIe slot and he had a 650 watt PSU.
